As the name indicates, Funnel Mill serves rare coffee and tea to the Santa Monica community. Their coffee is some of the best we've had in the entire county of Los Angeles. Their selection of beans includes the rare Kopi Luwak coffee, a uniquely processed bean that is regarded by many as the best coffee in the world. They specialize in syphon brewing and have clearly mastered the technique. Next time you're in Santa Monica, definitely check this place out.
This shop is all about their coffee... and their bikes. We came for the coffee. 10 Speed roasts their beans on site in micro-batches to extract the optimal flavor profile from each bean. Their Kickstart house blend makes for a delicious pour over with pleasant fruity notes. The shop is clean and spacious and the baristas are friendly and knowledgeable. It's a great place to come to with a bunch of friends to kickstart your morning.
You can tell that these guys know their coffee from the minute you walk in. They pride themselves on being coffee geeks and roast their own beans in small, precision-sized batches. Parking is a bit tough here, but the time you spend parking is well worth the wait for the special coffee you'll have when you get inside. Be sure to try their Kyoto Iced Coffee. Brewed one drip at a time, this specialty beverage has strong notes of lemonade.
If you're really looking for a hole in the wall coffee spot, this is it. It's hidden in an alleyway near 20th and Broadway in Santa Monica. When you step inside, you feel like you're walking into a modern, spacious living room that happens to have extraordinary coffee (and top-notch avocado toast). We recommend stopping by GoodBoyBob to escape the busy streets of Santa Monica and enjoy some coffee at this hidden gem.
This coffee shop has a sleek, modern feel to it. With shops all over Los Angeles, you'll have plenty of opportunities to treat yourself to the artisan coffee from Caffe Luxxe. They carefully source and roast their beans in small batches to highlight the unique flavor profiles of each bean. Conveniently located on Montana, it's a solid shop to stop by if you're in the area.
